The person behind the camera.

Hi, I'm Silda! A creative soul, tea enthusiast and wedding photographer based in Brisbane + Melbourne. I love witnessing raw human emotions - tears, warm embraces, pure joy. All of it.

A child to immigrant parents, I spent most of my summers wandering the dusty cobble stoned streets of Damascus, Syria. It was where I formed my love for architecture, photography and all things folk. I spent many nostalgic afternoons with my grandpa sifting through old film photos of my family, totally absorbed into the lives that were before me. I realised the power photography holds - the ability it has to connect you with the past and remind you of your roots.

Over the years, while I studied and worked in architecture, I would document my travels + life through photography as a way to savour my experiences and protect my memories. In 2013 a friend of mine asked if I could capture her wedding, and since that day I've been using my skills to protect + honour people's significant memories and moments too.

As eloquently described by Rumi - I allowed myself to be quietly drawn by the deeper pull of what I truly love. I trusted my intuition and it lead me here. Here I am, with a full heart and ready mind to capture your story.

I'd love to get to know you over coffee (or tea!) so drop me a message and we can chat! :)
